About Airplane Safety Cards
This site is devoted to my hobby – collecting aircraft safety cards.
All safety cards belong to respected airlines and were kindly provided by airline offices or crew of actual airplanes. Others were photographed on the flight and exchanged with our collectors.
Can I take a safety cards from the airplane?
While taking a safety card from the plane does not actually cause a threat to the flight safety as there is always a good reserve of them on the plane and all seats are checked prior to next flight, I strongly suggest to get an OK from the crew. They are usually fascinated by such strange hobby and give you more than you expect. Remember that in the US there is a regulation saying that a plane can’t depart until all passengers have safety cards in their seats.
So how can you get your own airline safety cards?
In a number of ways:
1. Ask a flight attendant – the best way, especially if they are young and nice
2. Buy from another collector or on ebay.com: there are hundreds of safety cards from all possible airlines. That’s how you can get a very rare or old safety card.
3. Call or email an airline. If you are lucky, they can send you their safety cards for free.
4. Some airlines publish their safety cards on their websites. For example, you can download all Jat Airways safety cards on the airline’s website that made it available for all aviation enthusiasts. They have safety cards for ATR 72- 500, Boeing 737-400, Boeing 737-700, Boeing 737-800 and Boeing 737-900.
